My name is Azucena Solorio, but most call me Susie and I'm originally from Bakersfield, CA. I have an A.A. in Art from Bakersfield College and have graduated from The Hallmark Institute of Photography located in Turners Falls, MA. During that time, I was published in "The Best of College Photography" as an honorable mention and was a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and currently I'm also a member of the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
I've worked as a photographer and assistant in many different parts of the country including Massachusetts, Idaho, California, Nevada, and more recently Texas and New Mexico. Currently I'm located in Las Vegas, NV but continue to work outside the city and state as certain opportunities arise. I've been blessed to work in many different parts of this field including family portraiture, weddings, anniversaries, quincianeras, newborn babies, little leagues, school photography, executive, catalogue, seniors, models, grand openings, and a host of other special events. Now that the basics are done let me tell you a little bit more personally about myself. I'm a 27 year old who loves life and loves cherishing each moment possible with amazing people, and am lucky enough to work in a profession that constantly brings positive people in my life. I love shooting, and work extensively to hone my skills both technically and creatively. I try to give myself personal assignments such as my never-ending self-portrait series. My goal in each project is to try to bring out the real person I’m photographing. I want to show the passion, joy, tenderness and love in the relationships that are taking place, and hence primarily shoot weddings and some portraiture. |
